DONATION FROM COMMUNITY MATTERS SCHEME (01/08/22) |
Hailsham Youth Service has received yet another cash boost, this time a £325 donation from the Waitrose ‘Community Matters' scheme. |
Recently, Hailsham Youth Service was one of a handful of charitable causes in the local Waitrose branch's green token Community Matters boxes, and the money received will be used to fund the Service's summer holiday activity program, in particular covering the cost of meals for young people at the Square Youth Cafe's afternoon sessions. |
“We are delighted to receive this cheque from Waitrose and extremely grateful to them for generously supporting our important youth projects and activities,” said Andy Joyes , Youth Service Manager at Hailsham Town Council. |
“Funding for Hailsham Youth Service is always needed in order to keep services running and to make sure that everyone gets the chance to use them. The young people who attend the Square Youth Cafe will benefit considerably from this donation.”
|
The Hailsham Youth Service team has organised a varied line-up of activities at the Square Youth Cafe designed to encourage even more people through the doors of the centre, including cookery sessions where young people can learn how to prepare meal recipes.
