'TEENS & TWEENS' THURSDAY SESSIONS FOR HOME EDS (03/09/25) Hailsham Youth Service, in partnership with Hailsham Town Council, is excited to announce the launch of a brand-new youth club, ‘Teens & Tweens' Home-ed Thursdays, offering young people in the community a fresh opportunity to socialise, learn and thrive together. The new social drop-in will be held at the Station Youth Centre in Western Road, starting on Thursday 11th September. Sessions will run every Thursday from 11am to 1pm, primarily welcoming secondary age home-educated young people and their younger siblings. Taking place on the lower floor of the Centre, each session will make use of the wide range of onsite resources and activities available, with the programme shaped by the interests of attendees and objectives set by parents and carers. The club will help foster new connections and provide another face-to-face community for young people in Hailsham. To help cover costs, there will be a £5 entry fee per family, per session. Our aim is to create a space where friendships can flourish and where activities are tailored to the needs and interests of those who attend. We want to build a community that offers both support and enjoyment.” “Importantly, this club is about giving young people a voice in shaping their experience—choosing what activities they want, exploring new hobbies and developing skills in a relaxed, friendly setting. We hope it becomes a place where families feel supported and young people feel inspired, confident and connected.” He added: “The launch of Teens & Tweens is another positive step in strengthening youth provision in our town. It's wonderful to see opportunities like this being developed to give young people safe spaces to meet, socialise and take part in engaging activities.”
