Friday Night Project Activities Organised for the Autumn Months!
Hailsham Town Council’s youth services continue to go grow, providing a range of opportunities and activities for young people in the town between the ages of 11-17.
A variety of activities for young people have been planned for the Friday Night Project from September through to late December including Wave Runner, Giant Pillows and high ropes at Knockhatch Adventure Park, as well as dry-slope skiing at Knockhatch Ski Centre (including ski lessons), ten-pin bowling at Freedom Leisure Centre, inflatable assault courses at the James West Community Centre, and a trip to Thorpe Park on Saturday 12th October.
The Friday Night Project, which is funded by the Safer Wealden Partnership and managed by Hailsham Youth Service, works in partnership with Hailsham Community College and Knockhatch to help create alternative recreational activities for young people on Friday evenings, will also continue to be a feature in young people’s social events calendar for the remainder of the year.

“The Friday Night Project gives young people an opportunity to experience challenges of different recreational activities and help to prevent boredom and antisocial behaviour, and I'm confident it will continue to be successful well into the future," said Andy Joyes, Youth Project Coordinator at Hailsham Town Council.

“The Friday Night Project is a classic example of partnership in the community and I’d like to thank my colleagues at Hailsham Youth Service, Knockhatch, and Hailsham Community College for all the support put into organising these events.”
Hailsham Youth Service has recently benefited from the securing of funding from the Safer Wealden Partnership for the purchase of a minibus. The minibus is now available to all local youth groups to hire. Please call 01323 841702 or email enquiries@hailsham-tc.gov.uk for further details.
