Autumn Activities For Young People At The Square (16/09/19)

Young people in Hailsham aged 11 to 13 can enjoy a wide range of activities on weekdays throughout the autumn months at the Square Youth Café, the Town Council’s flagship youth facility. Activities include table tennis, pool and console/video games, as well as cooking sessions and much more...........

Friday Night Project Receives Welcome Cash Boost (13/09/19)

The Friday Night Project has received a cash boost, this time a £1,175 donation from the Safer Wealden Partnership. The funding received will be used to subsidise groups of young people between the ages of 11 and 17 taking part in various activities, as part of the Friday Night Project...........

HYS Keeps Young People Busy During The Summer (09/09/19)

A variety of activities have been organised for the Friday Night Project from September through to December including Wave Runner, high ropes and dry-slope skiing at Knockhatch, ten-pin bowling at Freedom Leisure Centre and a trip to Thorpe Park on Saturday 12th October.........

FNP Activities For Young People During Summer Months (30/05/19)

A variety of activities have been planned in the coming weeks including bungee trampolines, jumping pillows and Wave Runner at Knockhatch Adventure Park, as well as badminton, table tennis, dodgeball and an inflatable disco at the James West Community Centre........

Square Youth Cafe Receives Donation From Waitrose (26/03/19)

The Square Youth Cafe has received a £292 donation from the Waitrose ‘Community Matters’ scheme. Recently The Square was one of three charitable causes in the local Waitrose branch’s green token boxes and the money received will be used to purchase additional equipment at the youth centre........

PGL Activity Weekend for Young People a Success (11/03/19)

Over 20 young people packed in as many activities as they could during their weekend stay at the PGL Centre in Windmill Hill last weekend, including zip wire, Giant Swing, Aeroball, fencing and climbing, as well as problem-solving and team-building skills.........

Monday Club Receives Funding From Hailsham Active (29/01/19)

The Monday Club, which was launched by Hailsham Youth Service last autumn providing activities such as 5-a-side football, table tennis and badminton, has received £650 in vouchers from Hailsham Active, which will go towards the purchase of additional sports equipment for use at Monday Club sessions.......

Square Youth Cafe Reopens After Redecoration Work (12/12/18)

A new-look Square Youth Café has reopened following a 4-day redecoration and refurbishment project. The interior of the popular venue for young people in Market Square, managed and funded by the Town Council, has been repainted and now looks much brighter following the transformation.....

Hailsham Town Council has launched www.hailshamyouthservice.org, a website devoted to providing information on the Council’s wide range of projects, support services and opportunities for young people in the town. Job Cafe For Young People In Hailsham A Success (22/08/18)

Year 6s Invited To Attend After-School Club (04/08/18)
Primary school children in Year 6 (ages 10 and 11) are now invited to attend after-school club and afternoon sessions, which take place at the Square Youth Café in Hailsham on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 3.15pm to 5pm.....
